A Quick Word of Caution

Buyer Beware!

That phrase was never so true as on the internet. There's truly a land of opportunity here. You can make a good side income from the web. You can even make a very good living here. But you can also waste a lot--a WHOLE lot--of hard earned money if you are chasing the Get Rich Quick dream.

Now I'm not saying that there aren't people who have turned their fortunes around pretty quickly through internet marketing. There definitely are. But that doesn't mean that they didn't work for it. If you read the stories of those successful marketers, they'll all say how it was hard work getting to the point where they are today.

Still, though, there are lots of people in this Wild West of the Internet claiming that all you have to do is 'work 15 minutes a day' or 'send this email to 10 friends' and within X amount of time you'll be rolling in money.

I'm sad to say that it just ain't so. Making a living on the internet is absolutely possible. And it's much easier than slaving away at a J-O-B for 40 or 50 (or 60 or more) hours a week. Just be sure to remember that it takes work.

My point is that there are some good people out here willing to help you. They usually will charge for their knowledge or time, but it will be a very reasonable amount. Their programs or systems will have solid information in the sales material so that you have an idea of whether they are genuine or not. And they won't be the ones claiming you can get rich without doing any work. (You can usually pick them out by their white hats.)

Stay away from the people charging large amounts for quick fixes. They are the snake oil salesmen of the internet. And, unfortunately, there are more of them than there are guys in white hats.
